An Evening in Spain is an evening designed to bring together women entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and Houston business ecosystem leaders for conversation, connection, and of course delicious bites and cocktails.

Hosted at MAD Houston, one of the city's most visually stunning restaurants, the evening draws inspiration from Spain’s bold flavors, expressive culture, and vibrant social energy. The experience unfolds on the patio in the heart of River Oaks District, where warm spring air, crafted cocktails, and curated company set the stage for a memorable night.

Each She Can Work happy hour is designed with a simple goal... strengthen Houston’s ecosystem for women building ambitious businesses. Chandel Strickland is a licensed investment and insurance advisor and the owner of Quest Financial Group, where she specializes in holistic financial planning rooted in faith and values. A University of Houston–Downtown finance graduate, Chandel transitioned from a successful career in oil and gas to serving high-performing women and their families. During the evening, we’ll also come together to support Jane’s Special Packs, a Houston nonprofit working to address period poverty by collecting, purchasing, and distributing menstrual care supplies to individuals who may otherwise go without. Their work helps ensure that women and girls in our community can maintain their health, dignity, and confidence every day of the month. We will assemble care packages that will be distributed through Jane’s Special Packs to those who need them most.
